I'm sure this has been done b4, but I've got a few that I want to mention.
If u have any against the man himself, try to be as discrete as possible (in case he happens to see this).

Here are a few of mine:

when the ignorants slam on Prince because he's "weird"
When anyone uses the word "weird" and "Prince" in the same sentence (cuz I don't see him that way)
When people use the term "The Artist" or "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince"
Using the word "Prince" and "fan" in the same sentence

I'm a fan (Not a fam like you) and I do think he's weird

I won't deny him being "weird"... but that sounds more negative than positive. I'd willingly exchange it 4 unique & different, though. I see him in the best possible light. And when the ignorants call him weird, it's because they don't really understand him like we do.
Misunderstood is probably one of the best words 2 describe Prince, but when it comes down 2 it, when u really get to know him & his music, at times he seems more normal than even I am.

I have my own definition of "weirdness" and he ain't it. Trust me.

It kinda pisses me off when someone refers to him as gay and all that mess, but I just blame it on thier ignorance and try not to get in a major fight about it.

You are allowed to question him. You can be a dedicated fan but at the same time you don't have to agree with everything he does or turn a blind eye to it. What he's doing is VERY problematic and I'd be worried for Prince fans if no one had a problem with what he's decided to do. I'm not saying you have to join in the war of words but you don't have to get angry at us for it, either. Think about it : this is probably the end of ever being able to see Prince any other way than live from now on.

As for this whole YouTube/suing thing... I'm not too concerned over it, but it seems like a lot of people are taking it the wrong way (i.e. "Prince hates his fans, that's why he's doing this")... I don't believe that 4 a moment.

But I don't believe him to be a saint 100% of the time either. That first statement is the reason why he doesn't like the word "fan/fanatic"... sure I have my moments here and there, but I really don't try to be [too] obsessive when it comes to him and his work. Just in case he's lurking around these posts...

As far as his judgement goes, I'm not sure what I think about it in this case. I really don't know what to think, really. I don't think I really care either way... at least until that day comes when I Google Video him and nothing comes up... but even then, as long as I have his albums, that's all I really need (and my fellow Prince "admirers"). But the old-school people rag on him all the time cuz of the things he doesn't do anymore... but when it comes to his music, I trust his judgement in what he writes cuz he believes in it.

I hate it when people start using U, 4, 2, Eye etc etc, just because Prince uses them. He might look cool doing so, you only look like a retard.

Also, I think Music & More has also affected the way I feel about Prince. I find myself listening less and less to Prince thanks to y'all. But out of respect, I try to act accordingly. I try to be as open-minded as I can when it comes to his work. And accept his actions as they are. There's enough negativity surrounding him among the ignorants... someone's gotta "be his champion"...
