Prince has done so much now, so early that I think people are actually spoiled..

I'm not going to get into Religion because I love The Man's music...I don't fantasize about dancing, his lifestyle, or image when I put on the CDs.

He's a better musician now.

He's more refined now... Masters tend to become moreso y'know..with time

The yearning for "Giggilo days" to make fans feel younger or freer" is not the problem..(or to help them feel better about sexual deviancy, sexual objectivity, decadence, and profanity). (Ask yourself this question: would you like your daughters to be with Prince from '80-87'?)

I'm sure when he listens to his old stuff, he notices that his hunger, and fear of failure, actually gave his "sound" and "style" more abandon. His mistakes gave his sound more character. More..Flesh. Those old "Warehouse Recordings" and analog equipment contrasts well with the Revolution's Linn Drum-laden, Space-age sound effects.

Now he's been around the world several times...Owns his own studio...I really think that he needs to record more songs on the road...Don't do too much at Paisley. Other than that everythings fine (as of TRC).

Blackwell goes nowhere. They are "in a zone" together. They're association will only provide better "bass and drum" combinations (Like he and Morris, and Bland).

Artists who have become too refined are:

Sting - Too Regal..Too Ecentric.

Elton John - Too Pop..Lyrics too complex..

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis - Too refined... I'd love a collaboration between Prince and flyte tyme, but they're production is too slick and futuristic. Too much synth.

Babyface - Too many ballads at the same speed. Too much recording at home studio. Relies on his same keyboard "sound" too often. Needs a song which features guitars instead of keyboard.

Mary J Blige - too many CDs too fast! She and Flyte TYme are having a hard time balancing her old "Hip-Hop", "Puffy- Produced" style and their more mature version of R&B.

Boys II Men - Ditto. Need to work with Prince. This collaboration must happen.

There are others that I can mention (and have heard fall into this catagory), but I'm not too familiar with most of their work.
