OhhMy Ijust brought Planet Earth

Hi everybody,
Ijust brought planet Earth cd 2 days ago and imust say it is good. Ibasically like all ofthe songs. Here r my thoughts onthe cd.

In my summarization from listening to all the songs on Planet Earth, Prince is lonely ,and he is looking for love.He is definitely not with any one yet he is open to dating. He still hasn't found that special some one; he's also worried about earth, its natural environment and its disasters-; he is not for the war in Iraq and basicly he knows time is winding down and Jesus can fight all of his battles for him. However he still has time to jam and there is a special some one who he admire or admired.

Any Thoughts

Very good insight!! Especially since you only got it a couple of days ago.

I agree with everything you said.

But I was just enjoying it too much to really try to make out a storyline like you just did.

Glad you like it. Cuz it's been getting a bit of grief from the people here.

Ohhand i forgot to mention ialso get that he is definitely good at sex. Also he is tired of spending money on himself.

heh...

One of the first things I noticed based on the vibe I was getting... this is probably one of the most unselfish sounding records he's ever done.

I mean, "back in the day", he was pretty cocky, I think... here he just took his time and just wrote some beautiful music to showcase the abilities of his soul.

Yeah, the whole album reads like a personal want ad: 'Lonely middle aged musician ("Here On Earth, "Lion of Judah") in search of mother figure ("Future Baby Mama") with a tight body and vegan tendencies ("Chelsea Rodgers"). I enjoy long walks on the beach at midnight ("Planet Earth," "All the Midnights in the World"), Jesus, world peace ("Resolution"), and spending cash on my ladies ("The One U Wanna C," "Mr. Goodnight"). But please note: My music comes first ("Guitar").'

I think most of the album (title track excluded) is him saying that he's ready for a real relationship, though he still wants the fun that comes with dating. He's looking to settle down with some one who can understand him and his loyalty and passion for his music (I understand Prince wink lol ).

I'm glad u like the album, acjohns. Love your summary- very consice (hence the summary- duh). What are your favorite tracks? hmmm

Yep, that's just about everything I'd say.
There's just a certain sense of "freedom" in this album and "unselfish"... and it says that even though he's a bit lonely, he's very happy and at peace with himself, and as one of his followers, that's all I can hope 4.

Prince has a certain claim on the Earth, but "women..rule my world" (the Earth). "Act your age, Mamma" he sings, "not your shoe-size and maybe we can do the twirl" (in other words, the earth can spin round properly. I like your post, I think it is near to the truth.
