The most obvious change in Prince over the course of his career (and life) is his hair and what he does with it when he presents himself. When I see his videos or past performances, I always look in his eyes, so his hair kinda contours with his gaze.

My favorites are:

1999/Purple Rain "hair on one side swept back" look
Come/TGE
Musicology-present
Parade/UTCM

Not so crazy about:
Diamonds & Pearls/Damn U "mushroom cloud" (as I call it)


I'm half and half about the long hair he sported during Rave's time, but usually, it takes away from his gaze cuz there's SO MUCH of it.

Any thoughts (or pictures) u wanna add?

How about most hated? Id say when it was short and brown. It was really the only time where he didnt look like Prince. he looked odd, he looked looked like Mayte's brother.

I think Rave just borders on bizarre for me a lot of the time... maybe I was right about the album being there, his costume choices here seem to reflect that.
