Both albums are heavy on Prince religous and spirtual side, which album kicks the others ass?

First, Lovesexy is a strung together issue unto itself.
The Rainbow Children, is a beautiful premeditated prescription for the world.
Whether it be broken lines from the artist or one long ballad, Prince
deserves respect for all of his work.

I like the Rainbow Children better

WOW! I really enjoy them both equally. But they are such different albums in sound and arrangements.

"The Rainbow Children" is obviously much more complex in styles of music and structure where "Lovesexy" is a little more simplistic. But yeah, they are both DAMN GOOD Records!!!

I like Lovesexy better because even though it deals with spiritual topics, it is much less dogmatic and...well...the music just sounds happier, for the most part.

"The voice" gives the Rainbow Children a heaviness I've never particularly cared for. I also find some of the album's themes out-and-out offensive. Frankly, it overshadows the music for me.

While Lovesexy is one of my favorite albums, Rainbow Children never really got me excited. Some of the songs are ok, but I despise 'the voice'

they're different phases in his spiritual evolution.
