Me being a black funk/rock musician, I've always worn my hair long. Still do and always will. It's who I am. That said, age, for me, is a non issue. Because my hair being long is as much a part of me as my eyes are. P, on the other hand, has changed his hair styles so many times, he's not affiliated with any specific look. From Dirty Mind to Purple Rain, his image was pretty much set and stabled. After ATWIAD, that's when he stopped being commited to just one look. Which I understand. He wanted to always come with a different look. Madonna was the same way. Personally, I dug P's hair during the 81-84 period. And then again during Signs, Lovesexy, GB era. Now, I would like to see P wear it long. He could always pull off wearing his hair long. His age has nothing to do with it. P is a performer. Whatever he has in his mind to do, he can easily project that. He looks cool with his hair like it is now. It fits his demeanor.

Anyway I can't believe I seem to be the only one who really digs this look. C'mon, this cat can pull any look off, he can shave his head bald and wear a newspaper hat and he'll still look good.
