I've always been torn between like and dislike for this song Just something about it that bothers me. I actually heard this lady singing it out loud at a Musicology concert and I wanted to seriously-Do you like this song?

When I first heard this song, I HATED it. But now I've kinda gotten used to it.

I was dancing New Years Eve...3 or 4 years ago...and they played this song.
I felt very uncomfortable dancing to it, in a public place...but at home
alone, it doesn't bother me. If I had a party, it would'nt make the list.
If a Prince music party went on for days...there would only be about ten songs of Prince's, I would neglect for whatever reason.

Love this song. It has a good message (We need pussy control, ladies. Women can be damn powerful.) and it just plain sounds good. The only problem I see is the language, I can see why that would bother people. I do not mind it though. I would flip out if a modern female rapper covered/remade this.

I didn't like this song at first because I was really uptight about the word "pussy". I've since gotten over it, say the word on a regular basis and am now a big fan of the song and the message. I'm still waiting for the day my mom says to me "girl, u need pussy control."

Kickass song, and the most weirdly feminist track I think I've ever heard.

I loved this song right away and still do. This song is known by a lot of people who aren't really into Prince, especially guys. In a weird way, it's one of his biggest hits of the '90s. I have several friends who know and love it but didn't hear it from me. I think a lot of guys find it seriously funny. Plus, it's funky as hell.

I always really, really liked it and still do.

I remember when I was in high school I was listening to it full blast and my mom was like "TURN IT OFF, IT'S SUNDAY!!"It's funny because she never said anyhting when I listening to it every other day of the week.

Its playful, yet with a serious message, and the beat kicks ass. I like it! My favourite part is at the very start when the beat begins and he's all like "Uh...yeah!". Too sexy. I love the whole album.

i love this song, but i could never say the title in public. its like a fun secret in that way i guess.

and whenever I see a girl who is so obviously a slut i just think to myself "pusssyy contoooool" and laugh. thats when other ppl give me strange looks since i'm laughing by myself for no apparent reason.
