whoever it is, is mixing live... and the station's log hasn't been updated in 15 mins, normally it updates itself about 10 secs before the next song is even aired...

Wouldn't it be fucked up if 105.9 was just messing with us? Tune-up man wouldn't confirm or deny ... but you can't tell me he doesn't recognize the drawing power of Mojo in Detroit ... It might be him, it might not.

But to put things bluntly, from where I'm coming from:

in 1995, I bought a copy of Mojo's book "The Mental Machine" ... the store had to order it directly from him. It arrived autographed... "Anthony, May the angels keep you and bless you. WATCH THE SKIES, peace, Mojo."

Yall know that was always one of his catch phrases ... (*oh hell nah, "Got to have a J.O.B.???" where's eddie murphy when we need him!*) ... I've been "watching the skies" ever since.... has our mothership finally come back home????

Ok, so he's being difficult. we are talking about Mojo, right? Tell me, when was the last time you heard "Jealousy" and WHO was playing it?

Alright. I've been listening for the last 4 hours (An hour ago, I pulled out my boombox to listen, because the online stream is really annoying).

I'm firmly in the "It's Mojo" camp. If indeed it is you, Welcome Back Old Friend.

Here's what I think we're hearing. As stated, Mojo is not going to "Give the game away" and immediately pull an old school Prince-followed-by-Run Dmc-followed-by-Hendrix-followed-by B52s set. He wants to keep this job, if indeed it is him. He's playing some amazing stuff that none of us have heard on the radio in YEARS. No matter, whoever is spinning tonight - they've got us all listening, they've got me listening, and I honestly haven't listened to much radio SINCE Mojo left the air (of 105.9, no less) back in '98.

I have to admit that I don't remember Mojo very much, but my husband who is 6 years older than me has told me many stories of his Mojo listening years. He was a very dedicated listener for years. So I am listening tonight, and I really love what i am hearing. Whomever it is, they are playing a lot of songs I haven't heard in years on the radio.
