12 No.1 albums, 10 other top 10 albums - not many other artists/groups can claim that in a career.
cool

considering that there is no song at radio, no video in rotation, there have been no television performances, and something like 3 million copies were availalble for free (and download) a week before it came out, 26,000 copies in the third week is pretty good.

not to mention the fact that it's his best album in a very long time.

Okay, only 5 in the USA, but at least 12 of his albums have been No.1 albums in different countries in the world:
Purple Rain
Around The World...
Sign O Times
Lovesexy
Batman
Graffiti Bridge
Diamonds & Pearls
Symbol
Come
Emancipation
3121
Planet Earth
All No.1 albums
Add To that a bunch of other albums that have (at very least) made top 5 positions (Parade, Hits 1, Hits 2, Hits/B-sides, Gold Experience, Very Best Of, Musicology, Ultimate).
All up in excess of 2 dozen Prince albums have become top 20 albums.
Not too shabby really...
