Tis the work of the debil. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I enjoy the whole frickin' album, but this is one of the outstanding tracks.
It's about the closest thing Prince has come to a Punk Rock song (that and maybe "Ronnie Talk To Russia"). And you know how I feel about Punk Rock. Without it there'd be no New Wave. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Great Song! Just listened to it today. It's amazing how Prince can take a genre (Punk/New Wave) and master it. The song sounds more musical, melodic and interesting than anything you would hear on a Sex Pistols album.
I always thought "Dirty Mind" the song was the weakest cut on the album and except for the lyrics, felt out of place amidst greatness.
