charity Prince has been a long-time supporter of Marva Collins' work (helping underpriveleged children to get a better education) and I believe he played some concerts for deaf/hearing-impaired children during the Purple Rain tour. Does anybody know of any other charities or causes he has supported or helped? | |

12-23,26,27,28-84 featured a canned food drive as well as tickets for local underpriviliged youth.
5-28-87 was a benifit show for children's hospital. 12-31-87 was a benifit show for the homeless. 10-22-88 was a benifit for Fredrick Webber,a college student was was struck by a car and killed while waiting in line for tickets to a Prince concert.More than $30,000 went to a scholarship in Webber's name. 4-30-90 was a benifit for the widow and family of Prince's former bodyguard Big Chick Huntsberry,who died without life insurance . | |
