So many great albums that didn't sell well. Shame.

The fact that The Hits 1, 2 and The Hits & B Sides all made it top 5 is pretty impressive though, considering the way they were released.

to be honest.. this is impressive... between 1985 and 1995 he had 11 top 5 albums.. how many other artists could say that.

While all his albums in the late 80's and early 90's hit #1 or #2 (lovesexy though . )

I did hear that it wasn't eligible for the UK chart as some copies were given away free for promotional purposes. But I dunno how true that is as I've only ever come across that info once, and if it wasn't eligible because of that reason then why did it chart at all?

Maybe it just got lost in the seasonal shopping madness.
