What gauge of strings does he use when playing lead? I swear that when he bends those suckers on "The Ride" music video, they look so durable and actually, easy to break. But, is it me or does it look like it wouldn't wear or tear on his finger much? They must be nines or eights. Probably something to that effect, eh?

Oh, really? So, does he use like "Elevens" when playing rhythm or something? I had seen "The Ride" from that mini-movie of his, "Love 4 1 Another". Those strings look like "Nines" with the way he is able to bend them during the solo near the end.

Well, let's keep it going. How about you guys tell me what gauges you use when playing lead? You already know that I have "10's". [Edited 7/30/07 13:03pm]

I use 10 to 46 and my nipper has 9 to 42. She's got girly fingers How about Stevie Ray for some seriously strong fingers or even David Gilmour? Watch how he adds that incredible vibrato to a full bend. Awesome [Edited 8/1/07 4:09am]

[Edited 8/1/07 4:09am] What's with the "10-to-46" and "9-to-42" measurements? Did i miss something? This is new to me. Oh, and yeah. I have heard about "Stevie Ray Vaughn", but not so much about "David Gilmour". I heard that "Stevie Ray Vaughn" had once used "18 Gauges" before. Man, what is he, "NUTS"!!!?! That is well over five-to-six measurements past the standard acoustic guitar string gauges in thickness. I'm whining and I use the ten gauge strings.
