Let's talk about Come and TGE

It has always been my understanding that Prince intended The Gold Experience and Come to compete with each other in the marketplace. The "dead" Prince versus the "new" prince.

So, I'm watching "The Beautiful Experience" and tracks from both albums (and both "artists") plus some other tracks from the era are intermingled.

Any insight into this? Was it recorded after WB scuttled Prince's plans to release the albums in competition with each other?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
