How can Prince put on awesome live shows but his last 2 CD's were pieces of Pieces of Shit. His music is poluting the Environment.3121 and Planet Earth are just adding extra waste to area landfills. Is there a way we can re-cyle Prince's last 2 CD's to save the environment.

i love prince and view myself as objective, i have no desire for a resurgence of old nasty prince but planet earth is not a great album. yet I've learned years ago to accept his gems (like Chelsea Rodgers) and be happy. his prime, his window of genius and innovation was as wide and as long as any artist we can remember and that is why he translates live. he is still capable of recorded "moments" like "the Dance" and we should cherish those moments as flashes of brilliance that he once sustained around the clock. prince is too old and happy with life to be the disturbed studio hermit who gave us so many great songs in the 80's. I say get out and enjoy life prince, pimp the game ( distribution) and enjoy being a living legend.

Songs like Planet Earth, All The Midnites In The World, The 1 U Wanna C and Resolution are amongst his greatest for at least a decade... and I'm talking as someone who didn't like Musicology and despised 3121.

Ill be the first to agree on here. Cant anyone complain without being crucified? God each should have their own opinion, not be scared of voicing this opinion. So what if he despises 3121, its not that good anyway!

Theres nothing wrong with expressing an opinion but there have been countless of these threads which start off saying Prince's new music is shit & then the person posting just sits back & adds nothing more. If you want to discuss it - fine. But just posting a negative thought & then walking away without another word - whats the point? He needs to open his vault and officially release all songs that are on the work volumes 1-4. He needs to stop bullshit'n his fans with this bullshit that he has been putting out recently.

We really do need one major thread where anyone who wants to whine and bitch can go and post their thoughts, and that leaves the rest of the forum for those who want to actually discuss other aspects of Prince's music. The problem is that every day, somebody starts another bitchfest as if they're the first to come up with that thought. It's repetitive, tired, and old.

Isn't this the same guy that said Freddie Jackson is better than Luther Vandross in another forum? I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but that opinion alone should speak volumes to this person's mental health and/or loss of hearing.

It least he was smart giving away 3 million copies. At least he could say "my album must not suck if 3 million people have it" He will never, never, never sell 3 million copies in US. Mark my words! I gues we will see how many CD's will be sold by the same time next year.
