Newbie Influx?

is it me, or has the long predicted post-Super Bowl newbie influx officially happened but more so as a result of the buzz created by Planet Earth? The threads of late reek of "elementary prince-ness". (welcome nontheless newbs)

I've noticed too, but it's not the only noob-flooding. It's happening now because of the hype for Planet Earth, it happened after the SuperBowl, there was one each for Musicology and 3121, and there was a baby surge after the RRHOF.

I think it really started with American idol then continued on, the newbies NEVER last, they have the attention span of a fly lol as soon as Prince cools down again they'll be off to the 'next thing' diehards know this so we just sit back and let em get it out of they're system. confused

since the average age of people here is like 35, I doubt there are any "newbies."

Its more like a lot of people coming out of early retirement.

more the merrier, we need some new thoughts and opinions. Would love to hear the under 25's opinions of the 80's stuff compared the 90's and 00's.

For me as a 35 year old Prince fan ( since '83), it has nothing to do with PE or the Superbowl Show, it has everything to do with the fact i only found this site about a month ago, A bit of Arrogance ??? you bet!!

Every "oldbie" was once a newbie... Don't take this shit too seriously.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.

I think the influx is cool. Especially when I see newbie names associated with Planet Earth.

I'm with ya, Garry! I've been a fan since '83 too (since I was 5 years old) and even though I'm a newbie to this site, I'm not a newbie to Prince's music. I like to hear the public's view on Prince's music regardless of age or how long they've been a fan. The "elitist" attitude need not apply to his music. It's universal.

I have been a fan since 1984 aged 14. Joined the ORG in it's original format and then rejoined in 2002 when the log in details got wiped (well something happened by can't quite remember what).

As far as I am concerned WELCOME ALL NEWBIES, GET ON THE BOAT AND ENJOY THE RIDE cool
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.
