I remember watching the show "Friday Night Videos" Back in the day, when they premiered the video for "My Name Is Prince". Marky Mark Wahlberg was a guest on the show. After the video played, Mark started bagging on Prince about the huge chain tassels that Prince had on the edge of his hat. They had to edit Mark out, Because he kept saying "What Is That $#!T?" Hey, He could've been a Prince fan, But he wasn't a fan of P's wardrobe. | |

Howard Stern made a negative comment about Prince. Also I think Simon Cowell thinks of Prince as a has been (don't know if that counts as not liking Prince or not). |

George Benson doesn't like Prince. He despises him.
Back in the early 90s, a friend of mine's dad was good friends with GB and he used to throw parties for GB when he came to L.A. to perform. Well, his pops came up to me and said "Don't mention Prince. George hates that dude." So me being the arrogant ass 20-somethinger that I was, at the party I asked GB point blank why he didn't like Prince and he said: "Man, that dude isn't doing anything we ain't seen before and yet he gets all this credit for that shit. He's overrated as an artist and as a musician." I sat there and was like "Wow, what a fuckin hater" to myself. I'm sure Michael Hutchence had some bad words on Prince ( or maybe it was just the Lovesexy album ? ) in an NME interview in the 1980s .
What song did Elton John join Prince on in Las Vegas by the way , did they actually perform together ? Also Prince and Stevie Wonder were both spotted at one of Elton's after-Oscars parties a few years back on the hosts table , so if Elton ever did say bad stuff about Prince its long in the past . Unless I am mistaken, the guitar in the pic below was a gift from George Benson to Prince. I think there is a picture of George's autograph on the back of the guitar.
