Yeah, those glammed up, make-up wearing, hair-sprayed boys of her beloved hair metal really show up Prince in the masculinity department. Exactly! Those 80s hard rock bands were more feminine-looking than Prince ever was.Look at Poison....those Spandex-wearing,big-haired,lipstick-wearing guys.

Boy George was/is a huge fan of Princes music but has called him the 'gayest straight man ever' and was annoyed when he met Prince at a Versace party and Prince called him over and said he liked his earring and then ignored him, so he sat there feeling like a prat.

i've seen G&R in the VIP section of glam slam back in the early 90's when they actually toured. one night prince pops in unannounced, mic'd his guitar only and played a 20 minute solo while staring at slash. afterwards he slammed his axe and walked out the front of the club. he never used the front of the club to exit LOL.

There's a good bit about Prince on Kevin Smith's Evening With Kevin Smith DVDs, and a follow up on the Evening With Kevin Smith 2 DVDs he's got.
The just of it was that Prince got Kevin to Paisley Park to record a movie, where he shot some footage of fan discussions about the Rainbow Children album. He ended up totally being overwhelmed by it all (particularly Prince's additude and his inability to really get what Prince wanted from him), but continued on and did the videoing... never got around to editing it. On the second DVD, Kevin Smith discussed the aftermath of Prince seeing his first DVD. He apparently had everybody looking for Kevin Smith's confidentiality agreement (which Smith had neglected to sign). Also, Prince dissed Kevin Smith's Jersey Girl, and Kevin Smith dissed Crystal Ball as a rebuttle. There's no real dislike in there at any point, and it's all probably been discussed at great lengths before, but I just thought I'd bring it up.

what was Prince thinking? theres a guy over at HQ who could answer that question. Who? Can he tell us ? this is scary if it's true...unless, as I wrote earlier, Prince was on something that night...

During late 1984 and most of 1985,Prince behaved very strangely. In the wake of his 'Purple Rain' success,he became very paranoid and was never without his bodyguards. He even had "Big Chick" escort him onstage to accept one of his American Music awards, lol.Still,it's hard to see why he felt frightened/insecure about entering the home of another major superstar

Hucky!! He was Prince's bodyguard during this time. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Aren't Guns and Roses the ones that had something on the back of one the albums talking about "niggers, jews, and fags"? If so, yeah, they are trash and not worthy of Prince's or anyone else's time. And while Slash is talking about someone looking like a "fag", I notice he has no problem performing with Michael Jackson. Of course, assholes have no problem with weak "fags" like Michael. It's strong "fags" like Prince they can't stand because the strong fags turn their nose up and see themselves above trash rather than crying somewhere like Michael Jackson. What are you talking about you fuckin gimp, Appetite for destruction is one of the best albums of the 80's, and having seen slash perform on stage i have no doubt that he is one of the finest guitarists of all time. On another note i heard that the wrinkly rocker Rod Stewart bad mouthed Prince un-provokingly.

Just like the fact that Elvis, John Lennon, Patsy Cline; Frank Sinatra; Jimmi Hendrix etc are dead. These are just a select few people who are deceased and played a MAJOR role in shaping American music or popular music around the world for that matter. My issue was not weather or not Marvin had any beef with Prince. It's just that that origional poster said something like Marvin not liking Prince "anymore". I didn't know if this person was aware that Marvin was gone. No negativity intended, just stating some facts. No disrepect there but I think U are some what confused. Yes Marvin Gaye is dead, I don't think anyone here would argue that (is that what you are trying to say?????). My response is if there was a feud between Prince and Marvin Gaye (Which is what this thread is about, celebs that don't like Prince). SOOOOO on that I really don't know if there was a feud or not.

A little reading goes along way. moviestar08 was asking if there were any MORE celebrities that had beef with P. Prince had released five albums by the time of Marvin's death. Plenty of time for him to form an opinion of P. Secondly, and I cannot speak for the poster, but I believe kpowers was asking if the story of Marvin being "jealous" of Prince was true. Not his death. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as speaking tones do not translate well online sometimes. Yes I was, thank you

Because no where does he hint that Marvin Gaye is alive. The line "Marvin Gayve not liking prince. any more?". Notice that Prince and anymore is seperated by a period. Which means, are there any more celebs who don't like Prince.

For the last time,people.....
THERE WAS NO FEUD BETWEEN MARVIN GAYE AND PRINCE! In fact,I doubt that these guys ever met.In 1979,Marvin jokingly mentioned Prince,Teddy Pendergrass and Rick James as artists who were "stealing his thunder".He wanted to prove that HE was still the ladies' man,so he recorded an album called 'Love Man'.It was a wild, sexy party album. The album was never released, even though the first single "Ego Trippin Out" had already been sent to radio stations in late 79.This was nothing more than friendly competition...you know...."it's MY turn to show the newcomers how it's done"

I just remember there being a lot of controversy about some homophobic and racial slurs coming from the band in the late 80s or early 90s. I had always thought they were on the back of the album cover or something. Didn't one of the band members wear a T-Shirt somewhere that said something like "God hates fags" or "AIDS kills fags"?
I rememeber the controversy about that song.Somone posted the lyrics up above.I can't believe that Slash (who is half black) would have participated in that recording His mother is black.
