I usually don't get to sleep til about 3 or 4am and sometimes I have to get up at 8 the next morning. Me and Prince are insomniacs  I'm the same, I'm awake in the day but wide awake in the middle of the night... could explain why sometimes hes not in the best mood(from my experience) when you're creative your mind is constantly 'on' damn thing! | |

"Anyone who was around back then knew what was happening," Prince had said two days earlier, reminiscing, "I was working. When they were sleeping, I was jamming. When they woke up, I had another groove. I'm as insane that way now as I was back then." ... I read a pretty good book about him and i've read some other articles that his peers wrote about him. They say that he does seem to take "power naps" at times, but he also does sleep when he's tired. He stays to himself alot, still to this day, so i'm guessing that he sleeps sometimes. he just wants us to think that he's a "vampire" LOL. I do believe that he goes on little sleep for days and then crashes when he's finished what he was working on. but what can we say, he's a genius, and those geniuses never seems "normal" to the rest of us If I could be muse 2 the Pharoah...... | |

So yeah, where does all this unstoppable energy come from? He feeds off the energy of the people around him... and energizes himself with the music as well. Music is a form of energy, I'm sure of it. From my own very limited standpoint, once I get into the groove of playing in front of a crowd, it's like you can feel the energies of everyone before you, and you can draw them in. It's an incredible high. | |
