Prince Anthology written BY Prince



"Prince: Anthology" will be published by The Hal Leonard Corporation, dated for release on August 29, 2007 in paperback only so far as I can tell or have seen thus far (don't people know, we love our hard-bound/hard-cover books more?) and by the sound will encompass 256 pages of Purple-licious funk.

It should be an interesting read since it's coming from the Man himself. Although not slated for release until August 29, 2007 - you can pre-order this book on Amazon.com now to ensure you get the first of the bunch. I, personally, cannot wait.

Get in line, people... Prince's got something to say... lol. Enjoy!

That's a book for learning how to play and sing his songs.

At the top left it says Piano/Vocal/Guitar...didnt you see that? lol

It's a sheet music book by the look of the cover. Besides (if I'm not mistaken) Hal Leonard is pretty strictly a publisher of sheet music. I don't think they publish novels, etc...

Cool book though. I may actually buy it out of morbid curiosity.

Let's think about this a moment, people.

This is a Hal Leonard book of sheet music by Prince.

"Technically", all the content in the book was written by Prince.

But the book's content was not written FOR this specific publication.

This is a book of sheet music for Prince's hits, nothing more.

Prince may have given permission, but it's certainly not "official product" and it is ABSOLUTELY not an "anthology" of essays or previously-unpublished autobiographical text by the man himself.

Let's get our facts straight, folks.

i looked on hal and leonards website and there is no mention of this anthology booklet. and the link 4 amazon does not work.

tho i did find something interesting on hal and leonards website, if u do a search 4 prince compostions, there r links 2 tracks on planet earth but nothing is found when u click on the song title ...perhaps soon there will b a sheet music book 4 planet earth

what we really want is a guitar tabbed/ 'real' version of all of this material. what is the point of releasing a book which can be dowloaded from the internet for free?

anyone have a full songlist. already have most of these songs, but would be cool to have them bound in a song book format. what i'm missing is stuff from the 1999 era - i'm hoping for 1999, little red corvette, and dmsr.
