Prince's dancing

I haven't seen Prince live for about 10 years now (excluding the Live at the Aladdin DVD). Those of you who have seen him recently, how are his dance moves these days? I take it he doesn't do the splits!!!!

What should we expect here in August in London?

These days Prince's moves are very inspired by the Rat Pack of the 50's, U can see sammy Davis Jnr, n others in his steps mixed witha a kind of 80's body popping... anyone else try it n it would look ridiculous but with Prince...well it only looks half ridiculous smile
Wake up children, dance the dance electric... there isn't much time.... who farted? whofarted ...was it u? disbelief

Man, I miss those splits. No one did them like Prince. I could go to a show and watch him do just splits for 15 minutes.

Prince's dancing is less acrobatic, and more slick. He still moves in his princely way. Picture the piano top from Girls and Boys without the splits--that's how he moves. In fact, at 1st Ave on 7/7/7 he did Girls and Boys and he did the dance.

I never thought Prince was the greatest dancer, but he used to be so dynamic.

First thing to expect is a lot less dancing. I think he's wise to focus more on his guitar hero act than his all dancing act, cos his dance moves ain't too hot nowadays. He'll do the odd cool foot shuffle like in the old days, and his stance is still pretty cool, but the moves now can sometimes seem a bit corny.
The good thing is, unlike MJ, dancing was only ever one aspect of what he did, and all his other on stage talents are still very much in place.

I love that "hump down twice...
then up twice" move they did
on the "Modernaire" scene
from Purple Rain
and in the "Raspberry Beret" video

prince is so talented when it comes to dancing. if he wanted he could have been better than MJ...but hes been always too busy writing lyrics, producing, playing instruments, etc but just imagine prince practising his dancing 4 hours a day.
