Did Prince not sell his latest cd in the UK "Planet Earth" in record stores and instead free through the newspaper because it is through Sony BMG of which as you may know Michael Jackson owns 25% of?

touring & promoting and such over the years (3to4 decades for MJ alone) ect.
Something tells me Im right about this and that its not just about giving away free music for planet earth inspiration to the people to save the planet or for a gift to his fans. Its going out to the general public.
I think there is something more going on here.....
Otherwise he would have done a charity song instead or mailed out the cds to just us fans.
If he continues to do stunts like this out of ignorance and dumbass pride he will lose more fans that grew up respecting Michael Jackson and Madonna too.
(PS...Did you see Madonna KICK ASS & rock out on that guitar at live earth! Take that Prince! She gonna catch up with you and jam with your ass! Once found the 1999 era on the bed with paint brush and neon heart sign on floor can see his bum poster PRN Productions Allen Beaulieu 1984 for $2.00 in the bottom of a poster bin still rolled and sealed aw lord love it girls! They are becoming extinct. But now even the main chains too like Tower Records (my FAVE for new cds on sale) is gone and only one Sam Goody..Its depressing y'all!!! Of course I finally bought a couple sansa ipods this month and burning my 25+ something years Prince, Madonna, and Michael Jackson cd collection onto them.
I dont enjoy haten on prince. Like Madonna said in Truth or Dare "I hate people that hate!". When MJ bought the Sony ATV catalogue he offered to give Sly Stone his music back. Sly like Prince was someone he looked up to growing up in the Music Biz. Sly said he did not want it back. Not sure why he refused but another MJ fan told me it had something to do with his children and said he'd rather MJ keep it. Also he did give "Tuti Fruiti" back to Little Richard. It was in the Catalogue he bought.

If paul wanted his music so bad he should have out bid MJ or the super rich Austrailian guy that owned it before should have sold it back to Paul for the $30 Million that he offered a few years before. The original owner is really the one at fault. Paul offered $30 Million and the original owner sold it to MJ for only $7 Million dollars more.... Was it really worth waiting a few years later for another $7 Million dollars? When he could have had the good conscience of one of the Beatles owning the catalogue. And if yoko ono really cared she would have teamed up at Paul's request to buy it together. But she didn't and refused. She must have wanted MJ to have it too. hmmmmm

You've changed your story - you're talking about Sony / ATV, not Sony BMG.

Sony BMG is not 25% owned by Jackson.

It is 50% owned by Sony Corporation of America (the other 50% being owned by Bertelsmann A.G.) which is 100% owned by the Sony holding Corporation based in Japan.

Jackson has held a 50% stake in Sony / ATV, the Sony subsiduary publishing company, not Sony BMG as you've claimed.

Shaking people's hands or getting a phone number isn't going to change it.

If you 'know your SHIT' as you claim, you wouldn't make such an elementary mistake.

Jackson adviser: trial signals star's new approach to business
Michael Jackson's decision to fight his former associate F. Marc Schaffel in a civil suit manner is symbolic of a "new day" in Jackson's financial life.

L. Londell McMillian, a New York lawyer who has attended every day of the current trial responded to a comment made by Scfaffel's attorney Howard King, told reporters it would have been less expensive if Jackson would have settled the case before it went to trial.

"It would have been to all parties' benefit to settle," McMillan said Thursday. "But Mr. Schaffel's request was outrageous. And Mr. Jackson is taking a new approach to people trying to hijack him with dishonorable claims."

"This is a very important case." he added. "It's the beginning of a new day defending against bogus claims and accepting responsibility for his business."

Schaffel has sued Jackson for failing to repay loans, expenses and salary. At first he wanted $3.8 million, but after a ruling by the judge involving the statute of limitations and other problems, cut it down to $1.6 million.
King was asked if he would have pursued the suit if he knew the claim was to be reduced by more than half. "We have had litigated it differently," the attorney said.

Attorney Thomas Mundell said Jackson has decided "he's no longer going to be a target." King said of Jackson, " In the right case he should fight like hell. But this is not a frivolous case."

McMillan, who took over Jackson's finances last month, said that Jackson has been victimized by a series of advisers "who seem to be part of a group with similar motives." With other lawsuits to come he said," this is the beginning of Mr. Jackson's attempt to defeat all of them." He said the outcome of the current trial is up to the jury, but "the victory is in taking the case to court. It set the stage for Michael Jackson performing defferently in his business life."
