I think she was one of his greatest love along with Susannah & his 2 wives. Whatever she's done after they parted ways won't change that, & Vanity being on "Come" (the moanings on "Orgasm", credited 2 "she knows") seems 2 b a homage of sorts.

I didnt know that was Vanity! I always thought it was Mayte... WOW
Certainly changes a few things in my mind, like for him to still be 'featuring' Vanity on his album in 1994 means she was still on his mind....

Aww.. touched

it's Vanity, sampled from the (circulating) hilarious "Vibrator", a Vanity 6 outtake. He used that sample on Madhouse's "6" as well.

I don't think that use of her moans was reflective in a positive manner in regards....probably used in some sort of mocking sense....just doesn't seem like a positive situation. To use a girls moans, orgasm, years after u've talked to her seems to be a gloating type of gesture.....doesn't seem like a positive exchange at all....

Shaomi!
Great you got that deep relation to lyrics (or the lyric/music complex). Nice to see/read it.
Although I must say it can be found a lot in the P.fanbase, the importance of the lyrics to the fans (where they are/have to be important, depends on the songs)

Thanks for the great example you chose for great lyrics and fantastic interaction of music/lyrics production etc totally dead on.
But do I have to thank? You rewardrd yourself by having fun and good/deep thoughts (emotions alongside) while you where thinking about/dealing with it (and having your very own "epiphanies" is the nicest self-rewarding, ey? biggrin )

merci, tres magnifique!

Well, u're welcome, & thanx 4 reading it biggrin

Yeah, lyrics r very important 2 me when it comes 2 Prince. His lyrics r half the reason i became a fan in the 1st place, i really felt Prince expressed things i could feel or relate with over the years, & he also kinda lifted my thoughts many times with his deeply spiritual view of life.
