Michael Jackson doesn't own 25% of Sony/BMG. Michael Jackson owns 50% of Sony/ATV music publishing company, as in Michael Jackson merged his ATV publishing company with Sony in 1996.
Michael Jackson's partnership with Sony/ATV hasn't been cut down to 25%, that's a stupid media lie. I doubt Prince not co-operating 100% with Sony has nothing to do with Michael Jackson, as Michael Jackson is not involved with the signing of artists and distribution of Sony .Michael's business with Sony is music publishing, therefore Michael has no has no involvment and makes 0% profit from Prince's new album. Furthermore Michael Jackson is no longer a Sony recording artist, just a Sony business partner I presume Prince may have felt he might not be getting a fair cut of the money from Sony with his new Planet Earth album. Sony Music and there film company have been successfully sued in recent years for not paying some artists there correct royalties. Stan Lee was suing Sony Pictures in 2002, when Spider-Man 1 was released because they underpaid him for using the rights to Spider-Man etc. [Edited 7/16/07 5:48am]

1. Jackson owns 25% pf Sony BMG 2. Prince decided to distribute his album in the UK via a newspaper as some form of attack on Michael Jackson then maybe your theory wouldn't be as laughable as it comes across . [Edited 7/15/07 0:47am] If you dont believe me call up Londell McMillan who helped MJ recently as his attorney in court. Former Prince Attorney office in NYC @ #1-212-399-8900. Or better yet his Public Relations Rep Mgr Raymone Bain's office @ #1-202-337-5595 or The Infamous Thomas Mesearu at #1-310-789-1177 or info@mesereauyu.com It was Brian Oxman (nice guy shook his hand at Santa Maria Courthouse. Looks like Pres. Bill Clinton) the Jackson Family's long time Attourney that announced the sale of the 25% of his 50% ownership in the sony BMG & ATV Catalogue for a BILLION Dollars Last year paying off the $300 something Million debt because of all the shit ass lawsuits keep bring apon him to destroy him. He Announced it last year on Nancy Bitch DisGrace's show on I think MSNBC or one of those fascist news networks on cable. So if you dont believe me call him up.His office is in California somewhere. I dont have his phone # but you can also try utube I might check that out 2nnite in fact or order a copy of the show from Nancy Disgraces show online from the news network she is on. Go Keith Oberman!!! Actually come to think of it. I recorded it. duh... So if you want a video copy I will look for it in my pile of video tapes in my closet. By the way I know my SHIT so dont F with me! And also by the way... When MJ bought the Sony ATV catalogue he offered to give Sly Stone his music back. Sly like Prince was someone he looked up to growing up in the Music Biz. Sly said he did not want it back. Not sure why he refused but another MJ fan told me it had something to do with his children and said he'd rather MJ keep it. Also he did give "Tuti Fruiti" back to Little Richard. It was in the Catalogue he bought. If paul wanted his music so bad he should have out bid MJ or the super rich Austrailian guy that owned it before should have sold it back to Paul for the $30 Million that he offered a few years before. The original owner is really the one at fault. Paul offered $30 Million and the original owner sold it to MJ for only $7 Million dollars more.... Was it really worth waiting a few years later for another $7 Million dollars? When he could have had the good conscience of one of the Beatles owning the catalogue. And if yoko ono really cared she would have teamed up at Paul's request to buy it together. But she didn't and refused. She must have wanted MJ to have it too. hmmmmm probably cause he is a man of peace and does God's work like John Lennon was all about. Power to the People! Amen. michelle [Edited 7/15/07 1:28am] [Edited 7/15/07 1:45am]

Geeze, have those Michael Jackson 'fans' no better thing to do then spread nonsense to express their frustations about the downfall in Michaels Career?
I mean: of course the last remaining MJ-fans deep inside know that his last album. Invincible, was a clunker, and deep down they know Michael is doing suspicious things with kids (understatement....) I have seen this kind of ridicolous threads started by MJ-fans on other forums often, its like they cant deal with the fact that Michaels career is over musically, and that, yes, he is a childmolester, but one with some well paid advocates.

Michael Jackson owns 50% of Sony/ATV, which has many many songs under it's publishing division.
So long as Michael Jackson owns Sony/ATV he will be wealthy...
