When MJ bought the Sony ATV catalogue he offered to give Sly Stone his music back. Sly like Prince was someone he looked up to growing up in the Music Biz. Sly said he did not want it back. Not sure why he refused but another MJ fan told me it had something to do with his children and said he'd rather MJ keep it. Also he did give "Tuti Fruiti" back to Little Richard. It was in the Catalogue he bought.

If paul wanted his music so bad he should have out bid MJ or the super rich Austrailian guy that owned it before should have sold it back to Paul for the $30 Million that he offered a few years before. The original owner is really the one at fault. Paul offered $30 Million and the original owner sold it to MJ for only $7 Million dollars more.... Was it really worth waiting a few years later for another $7 Million dollars? When he could have had the good conscience of one of the Beatles owning the catalogue. And if yoko ono really cared she would have teamed up at Paul's request to buy it together. But she didn't and refused. She must have wanted MJ to have it too. hmmmmm

Michael Jackson doesn't own 25% of Sony/BMG. Michael Jackson owns 50% of Sony/ATV music publishing company, as in Michael Jackson merged his ATV publishing company with Sony in 1996.

Michael Jackson's partnership with Sony/ATV hasn't been cut down to 25%, that's a stupid media lie.

I doubt Prince not co-operating 100% with Sony has nothing to do with Michael Jackson, as Michael Jackson is not involved with the signing of artists and distribution of Sony .Michael's business with Sony is music publishing, therefore Michael has no has no involvment and makes 0% profit from Prince's new album. Furthermore Michael Jackson is no longer a Sony recording artist, just a Sony business partner

I presume Prince may have felt he might not be getting a fair cut of the money from Sony with his new Planet Earth album. Sony Music and there film company have been successfully sued in recent years for not paying some artists there correct royalties. Stan Lee was suing Sony Pictures in 2002, when Spider-Man 1 was released because they underpaid him for using the rights to Spider-Man etc.
