"Tag your teen with Brat Nav" "It could be the perfect answer for parents anxious about their children's whereabouts.
A device the size of a large matchbox is being launched that exactly pinpoints a carrier's location through a global positioning system accessed by computer or mobile phone. The gadget, called buddi, can be clipped to children's clothing or carried in their pockets. Parents then log on to see their child's position on a detailed map via satellite tracking." ...But, who cares, I got me a free Prince CD... "Afghan refugees in Britain are being paid up to £200 a day by taxpayers to help to train our soldiers to fight the Taliban. The daily rate - more than four times the starting wage of an Army private - is going to the 'recruits' who play the parts of insurgents in military exercises. They often dress in traditional robes similar to those favoured by the Taliban fighters who are making daily attacks on British forces in Afghanistan. Many have been paid to take part in several courses at the Stanford training area near Thetford, Norfolk, and at a similar facility on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire. They then return to their day jobs. The Afghans are all British nationals and are usually recruited by the Ministry of Defence's Land Warfare Centre from an agency via community associations and Afghan support groups based around Britain. But Army sources have disclosed that soldiers have felt 'vulnerable' following the exercises, because they reveal how they operate. One source said: "The worry is that while these Afghans may be loyal to the British, we don't know who they may be talking to and who, in turn, others might be talking to. "In other words, there is a question mark over their security. "They may inadvertently be giving away information to someone with Taliban links. "The lads really don't like having outsiders seeing exactly how they work in the field. They feel it leaves them vulnerable." To make the training as realistic as possible, the MoD has built a typical Afghan village on the 30,000-acre Norfolk site." ...But, who cares, I got me a free Prince CD...
