Now you have a "Free" copy of P.E. will you be buying a proper copy?

As most U.K. fans will have a "Free" M.O.S. copy of Planet Earth, do now you feel as a U.K. fan that
you need to buy a properly packaged version (i.e. plastic case or digipack, sleeve notes, booklet etc...)
of the album or are you hoping the concert version will be properly packaged?
Johnny got a hat cuz he don't trust pills....

i'll do what i did with musicology, and wait till it's £3 in the sale and buy a copy that i'll never open. i've got 10 copies already and getting another load at all the concerts. i do have a few cd systems, but it sounds crap when you play them all at once

I think I'll wait to see what we are given with our concert tickets for the London gigs. Basically if the only way to get a nicely packaged version with lyrics, liner notes etc I'll buy it.

Oh come on... we get that you don't like the album, but DO try not to piss on our chips today. There's a new album, people are enjoying it. What's the problem? Keep your insults to yourself.

Fair enough. I just cannot believe how terrible this album is. It's quite obvious why it was free in the UK. If Prince wants humans on the continent, America, Oz, etc to hear this, he needs to give it away in their papers. No one in their right mind would pay for this disaster.

I am dumbfounded how this man is so eloquent and innovative live yet sounds like a 4th rank amateur on record. Truly a great mystery of the 21st century.

Prince -- dont be afraid to let your guitar control the groove and add a second, or heaven forbid a third, track for solos and flourishes. Nobody will miss the cheesy synth lines for one album. Well, maybe you will as it's obviously the only way you seem to think a 'rock' song can be produced. Pathetic and oh-so-sad.

The man has no clue how to record a proper rock album, it's that simple.

Now that would just be a waste of money! Unless of course my FREE copy was ever broken then I would get a "proper" copy.

As much as I may disagree with that list it's refreshing to see something different to the usual SOTT, Purple Rain, UTCM etc.

Because I have all the rest of his catalogue, yes.

But i've pre-ordered it from CD-Wow with 1,600 Nectar points - so i'm not actually paying a penny for it.

Well I'm all for original thought and opinion too (so i'm not trying to be overly critical here) but New Power Soul the best album in a career?? Oh lawd!

I'm not a musician nor am I producer yet I still think, as I believe most here could, that I could give him enough direction to at least turn the guitars up and the maddening synths down in the mix to put something out that would qualify as a proper rock and roll record.
No hard feelings.

Being a collector geek I will be buying a proper copy geek

I like my Cd's with artwork, lyric booklets etc

I treat the Mail On Sunday disc as an advance promo copy that will suffice until it is released 'proper'

I bought three copies of the Mail today. So I can have one CD in car. One in the home stereo, and one at work.

Disposable pop!

I might get some more and have Planet Earth coasters in my lounge.
