I probably only listened twice to that album.

I exclude For You and Prince, as he was still trying to get a style together, the lesser songs on those albums are more wanting than bad. His first truly crap song was Ronnie Talk to Russia, its just fucked.

There are a few songs on the first album or two that aren't that great, but the first two genuine clunkers have got to be God (vocal version) and Girl. I know that these are fan favs, but COME ON, they don't stand up to the rest of his work. Novelty knock offs, but great songs? nope.

Without question. Some of the worst lyrics and music i've ever heard from anyone. And if it was supposed to be ironic (which I don't think it was), that's no fecking excuse.

I sort of understand people's views regards For You, but I think we should be able to cut him some slack for his first effort... once you start to listen to it again, there are some marvellous tunes on there... and the bravura of the title track is still astounding nearly thirty years later.

all of that aside...the WORST song recorded by ANYONE....including Paris Hilton Mayte garcia....ANYONE.....is Animal kingdom. There has never been a worse song in the past and there will never b a worse song in the future.....even no matter how long into the future u look. Animal kingdom is by far the worst song that could have ever been recorded by anyone at anytime.

I LOVE Animal Kingdom! It's a glorious Beatles-esque/Britpop throwaway nonsense that's fun to listen to... Don't diss the dolphins!

I don't think we really should judge the first album after all he was very young and still learning a lot.
All artist develope from album to album.
I also agree you can't call a song bad you can say you dislike a song/album.
Although I hate Rainbow Children with a passion it does not make it a bad album some people might like it. Although I have yet to find anyone who really likes that album.
There are a few b-sides etc I don't like but I'm not really counting those songs like scarlet pussy I think are just stupid.
