Prince can do whatever he likes - he is after-all, Prince, one of the greatest contemporary musicians on "Planet Earth". cool

But I have to agree, I think Planet Earth is sub-par. Bar "Guitar", all the tunes are struggling to be repeat listeners. And the odd thing is, "Guitar" sounds totally out of place amongst the other tracks - IMO "Guitar" seems to have been spawned circa the "Gold Experience" era (GREAT era that) - but its quirkiness and manic riffing just doesn't sit amongst the other tracks on Planet Earth - and makes the album seem otherwise lame.

Prince is insanely talented, but he also occasionally misses the mark, even if he thinks he doesn't. Pity - I'd love a kick-ass album from him once-again, a-la The Gold Experience - and he's got it in him... he just seems content keeping it to himself. sad
