Tickets on Sale Friday

Bumper Prince package announced
Planet Earth unveiled, more O2 dates announced, fans invited to jam on-stage

11 July 07 - 6 Music can reveal details of Prince's new album, Planet Earth.

A playback of its contents took place at the O2 Arena in London earlier this evening.

The album is at the centre of the on-going Mail on Sunday give-away row.

Planet Earth will be the first un-released album to be given away for free when it appears on the newspaper as a cover-mount this weekend.

Many expected the star to attend the album 'play-back' to talk about the issue, but he failed to show.

Instead, the session was used as a platform for the invited audience to hear tracks from the album, which contains forthcoming single, Guitar.

Additional dates for the star's UK tour were also announced - tickets will go on sale on 15 July.

It was also confirmed that fans will be given the opportunity to perform with the legend. Prince will attend several post-show gigs as part of his semi-residency at teh O2 Arena. Tickets for these - called the 31 21 after show parties - will go on sale on Friday. Benefits of ticket purchase inclused the opportunity to jam on-stage with Prince.

Planet Earth tracklisting:

1. Planet Earth
2. Guitar
3. Somewhere Here on Earth
4. The One U Wanna C
5. Future Baby Mama
6. Mr Goodnight
7. All the Midnight's in the World
8. Chelsea Rodgers
9. Lion of Judah
10. Resolution

when i clicked on the prince concerts on the aeg live site it seems to take you through to the ticketmaster site to buy tickets so it looks quite probable that ticketmaster will be the ones that sell these ....i just took the info of the housequake forum coz no one seems to have posted it up on here yet ....has anyone had any code through on e-mail yet there were rumours about a fanclub pass code ..wonder whats happened to that and the clipper service seems to have disaapeared off ticketmast as well....very strange ..looks as if were all in for another round of chaos with ticketmaster again tomorrow

in the metro newspaper it was said that extra tickets for the 'main 02 shows' will be sold this sunday because they have managed to create more space in the arena. so it seems more likely to me that the 21st sept show will be the final main show. and the 21 shows go with the 3121 cliche so i dont they would want to change that

if u goto the aeg live site look for prince tixs on the date 21/09/2007 at the top it states on sale 09.00 am 15.07.2007 which is sunday so either they have been allocated more tixs for that date and are selling them on sunday or they are tixs for something else.....very strange!!!!!

I'm thinking that the "new tickets" being made available on Sunday are actually all those tickets that are currently available in Block 110 etc.

The thing is, the 21 nights have been reported as being sold out, which they clearly aren't. So if someone picks up the Mail this Sunday and thinks, "I wouldn't mind going to see Prince", they may also have the thought, "Shame I didn't get tickets before it sold out". This way, by announcing new seats are available, they can expect a good number of ticket sales on Sunday. I'm sure the Mail will run the announcement of new tickets being available right alongside the CD giveaway.

It's all good marketing, but no good for the fans.

Now, when can we get our hands on those aftershow tickets?

Generally, leave the hours of 11pm until 4am free!

What airport do you need to get to, and at what time?
