No Kiddin' and I like it too. Very ahh...sensual/ seductive in a way. I can't
wait to buy the CD!!! I do, however think the reason it is posted on 3121 as a bootleg, may be a gentle reminder...that its WRONG! [lol] I'm sure it has to be difficult to be an artist in the "I have to have it now information age" Wake up!......Wake up!

have to say i am lovin' the DJ !

It's definitely a grower.
The melody's quite straight-forward though, isn't it? I miss the psychedelic jazzy chords. The vocals sound like something off the 'Prince' album. The percussion sounds like something from the '1999' album. The guitar, bass and organ all have that clean un-processed (almost live) sound which he's used since 'The Rainbow Children'. If I had to compare it to anything, I'd say it's almost 'Somebody's Somebody' but with a falsetto and retro beats.

Sounds like a more mature version of what he was doing on the Prince album. I approve. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How is it wrong for us to hear it? They played it on the ATL radio station. The DJ even said "i'm going to get in trouble for this." Blame him, not the poeple who recorded it and allow their friends to hear it. It's not wrong to share music recorded from the radio. The "bootleg" presentation of FBM was fun, and a complete lark. IMO it's an example of Prince and his camp displaying a sense of humor. I mean come on, the recording is too damn funny. I crack up everytime I hear that woman request "Fruture Back Mama." Prince probably fell out too when he heard it. Between the fact that his entire online fanbase was clamoring to hear the song and his (we're always told by his close friends) love of silly humor, he probably told his tech folks, "Oh lawd! We have to put this on the site!," while he

I suspect Prince was probably just saying that streamripping constitutes bootlegging. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

IMO, if he was trying to make a statement against bootlegging he simply would have done that. Both he and his site have commented on it many times in the past -- without ever once providing a stream to hear the material in question. This is speculative, of course, but I think the "bootleg" tag was just a way of explaining to visitors -- who might be completely clueless about the rip and its brisk trading -- that an unofficial source, i.e. not the album track, was used for the stream. Without the disclaimer, some people might think this was the real song since it was being played on Prince's official website. Like I said, I think Prince wanted to give the fans a bone and he felt the rip was funny. Nothing more to it than that.
