I think Chaos is cool album but I see it get knocked alot around here. I was wondering how ppl rated the tracks individually.

Overall - Works surprisingly better as a whole than individual tracks, a couple of real duffers marr an otherwise decent set of tracks, crown jewel is 'I Like It There' - one of the best 90s tracks IMO.

Think about what could've been put on there instead of Dig U Better Dead, I Rock, Right The Wrong..... Da Bang? Calhoun Square? What's My Name? The Undertaker even?

This album does have it moments but I agree is marred by some dreadful tracks.

Dig U better dead and Had U are what finally turns this record into a classic.

Had U gets 10 because it was his last diss to WB. Overall, that album was pure unadulterated bullshit. Filler and more filler. His last OBLIGATION to WB and it sure felt like one.

Notes:
- He shouldnt have shortened 'Into the light'
- The last 2 tracks dont 'fit into' the rest of the album.

Conclusion: a 7/10 for me

"I Like it There" is the only greatness I hear on this record.

The album starts off really good and "Had U" is a pretty cool way to wrap things up, even though it's not really a proper song.

But there's nothing wrong with not making every song proper. It's often what gives an album life.

The rest is mostly a fun ride, with some really oddball stuff; and in this case I don't mean oddball in a particularly nice way.

I love how Prince gets loose, but I'm a greedy bastard. I also what him to get loose on great material that will stand the test of time.
