If so he will NEVER have another hit record cause I don't think he's willing to play that game. I mean FBA is getting play here in Atlanta but not the way other artist on major labels are. It appears that what little airplay it's getting is strickly off the merits of the song but radio politics will not allow it to be a major hit. I think the song is quality enough to be just that based off of what's already on the radio. Plus most Prince fans are over 30 (like myself) and don't call radio stations to request songs. The reason this thread is so dang moronic and pointless is that it equates quality with album sales... So what if the album flops? Since when does that have anything to do with music's merits?
TRC was meaningless from a sales standpoint, but many "Priceaphiles" see it as an amazing recording. The day Prince relies on pretenders like Pharell is the day we all need to shut down this site, as hell is definitely getting frigid.

Things I've learned from the Internet:
* All of Prince's masterpiece albums are horribly overrated. * All of his classic songs (and I mean even "When Doves Cry" and "Kiss") have been summarily dismissed by many people. This is why I listen with my own ears. At least I'm stuck with that methodology until I can listen with someone else's ears and repeat back to them exactly what they want to hear (good or bad). Then, and only then, will I be objective!!

"Somewhere Here On Earth" will be getting played years after these hip producers have been replaced by other hip producers.

(of which 1 actually was pretty good btw) Do you not have ears of your own ? What the fuck does it matter anyway what anyone else says ? [Edited 6/25/07 16:28pm] because i personally like prince being relevant again....i want to be able to listen to him in public and not have peole laugh at me Worried about people laughing at you. Well if Prince would have worried about something like that back in the day, do you think he would be around in the biz today?
