Cast your vote!!!!!! One time only!!!!!! With what's going on in the Survivor threads, and my little Controversy vs. Gold thread it leads me to ask this simple question. And i'm sure it's been asked before, but i'm curious.
Prince or ??? I want to know, but we can't do it that way. So i guess what i'm asking is this? Prince - before Graffiti Bridge? Or Prince/ after Graffiti Bridge? That's the cutoff that I think is fair. Which do you prefer? For me it's no contest. Not even close. Before. Hands down. Don't get me wrong, i liked D & P. I liked . I even liked most of Come. I absolutely HATED Gold. I liked Chaos & Disorder. I just don't think any of this stuff holds a candle to the pre-Bridge stuff. So let's vote! I'll count em up and post the winner! http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts
y'all gone keep messin' around wit me and turn me back to the old me......

Well...
I can't do it, I'm torn Prince and might not be the same person, but I do believe they're the same musician. He's human, he grows he progresses, he changes, good times and bad. We're all fans, sometimes we expect him to be perfect or inhuman and not make mistakes. I never wine about him. Whatever form or way, he gives us more music than any musician period. Blue Blue

I'll be devil's advocate and say Prince during Graffiti Bridge since that wasn't a choice.

Before you all start voting "pre-GRaffiti Bridge" check out my little essay about Prince and the Generation Gap. I think that how old we are and how long we've been fans affect our taste in Prince music more than Prince's music. For example is it possible to hate hip hop (like my parents) yet still like "The Gold Experience"? "New Power slide...."

I'm only kidding Tommy. I think Prince was unbeatable from 86-88. No better period in music history.

I like every Prince era. He has always been brilliant as a musician, why choose? He never ceases to amaze me.

Its not that I dislike the 90's output, He put out a load of great stuff in that time, especially the Gold live tour, which was awesome. However, between 1999 and Lovesexy, Prince was unstoppable. That period of albums are the best he's done consistently up till Rainbow Children. -----------------------------------------

why is there always someone who says witch prince is better the old or the new.whats wrong with the new prince nothing.prince always change is music style .he's music is still great different but still amazing.those were the 80's stop living in the past and get in 2 future.then his music was fresh but also commercial.why can't people see how amazing albums like gold -emancipation-rave -rainbowchildren-and all the others are.they are made with the same passion as in the 80's.eye didn't like his rap period so mush (it was funny).but the songs were great.new power soul wasn't so great but ist was good old funk style (if an other artist puts out this one they say he's a genuis ) we are all so spoiled .and most off them want 2 see him back in the charts and.. on mtv.this guy is getting older.so his music is changing 2.what he's creating now is more exiting and new.(real music -not some fast factory music).and ofcorse he makes mistakes .gladly there is only one prince u can not vote if there is just on person 2 vote on.so eye think eye'm the only one around here who says the prince after graffiti bridge. woekie woekie!!!
