If Natasha did turn out to be Salma Hayek, do you think Prince would be a happy man? LOL

I wonder if they posted this in response to the article from foxnews? You know, to show that there are people that do care.
People like Meshell N'Degeocello.

I still want to know how many of those in attendance are club members. What happened to club members "being served 1st"? Pffft.

Seriously...isn't this exactly the kind of event that should be open to club members? I mean, an impromptu listening party for a *new 3-disc set* from an artist with a music club consisting of members paying $100 each to support the artist, and there's nothing on the artist's web site about the event except a paragraph thanking a bunch of celebrities for showing up?

I don't care how impromptu the event was...you don't even get celebrities that are as wanna-be as three American Idol cast-offs to make an appearance without some kind of planning and notice.

Heck...there's no way I could have made it to New York for the event, but it would have been great for club members in that area to have a chance to show up, no? How about a paragraph on npgmusicclub.com thanking club members by name for taking time out of their schedule to be there?

Sheesh...I hate to seem like such a complainer, but this just seems like a complete no-brainer to me.

The npgmc membership includes 4CD's and limited presale tix to public concerts. This was a private party for only Prince and his invitees. Simple as that.

I understand that, but I also recall an e-mail from NPGMC stating that "as always, club members will be served 1st" in reference to this album.

If it was truly a private party, then why post a thank-you to 40 something private guests on a public web site made for club members and fans?

To me, that says, "Nanny-nanny-boo-boo, you missed it."

His 'thank you' on the npg site, is open to anyone to visit. If he sent it directly to npgmc members via email or only in the members login section, then i could see your point.
As for 'serving members first'...would that mean he couldn't play the album to anyone but members? Would you really want that? He was implying the 3CD's being sent out to members first--and i don't think he needs to be that specific about it.

I do see your point. No, obviously I don't want him only serving members with this CD...I'd love to see it go large. I'm just saying that, as a member of the club and as someone who follows him closely, it simply gets to me when I see celebs getting special treatment and seeing members who, relatively speaking, support him more financially, not included in the smallest sense.

And, it furthermore says on NPGMC that members will always get the new music first, and technically that is not true. I know it's nitpicking, but it *is* part of my $100 membership fee that's paying for private celeb parties, right?

You're certainly right there -- the only celeb I saw that deserved to be there is G. Clinton.

BTW...good for you defending P! smile I love the man, but this listening party sure sounded like a big waste.

Prince is Paranoid that's his Problem. Sad,but True. And his fans are much more Important than Celebrities that couldn't give a fig about his t-shirts,cds, veggie treats or alcohol. I am so upset that he consistently leaves his fans out in the Cold. It's quite Mean when yes these fans sometimes go all over the world to see him and then when he has an Afterparty like I heard with the past Celebration it was closed to them? Why is he always leaving Fans out? I think Celebrities, Press and Fans should All be invited. The fans in Minneapolis that wait outside in the Freezing Cold for him for shows Deserve alot of thanks. That's Real Dedication. I could never do that because once I did that and came home with Pnemonia. I always wanna be in the Front, but I hate when it's Hot and Claustraphobic. I fainted once. I seriously can't do those things even if I wanted to. It upsets me cause I always wanna be up close to see him perform, but I hate the Pushing and Shoving and the fans who are Nasty or just wanna Touch me. I hate that. It's just Weird plain and simple Weird. People sometimes seem to have Hand Trouble. Man why don't people learn how to act? It's Creepy and Most Annoying. Plus what's the big Thrill of Staring at a Person? Why Stare at Prince? He's not a Freak you know. I'll Never understand, Nor do I want to. Sometimes and I can only hope and pray that Prince changes his stance about his fans. And I hope his fans realize that I am a very nice Person and stop attacking me. It's not Cool by any standards. I Don't like nor do I appreciate such Stupid Behavior.

And check this out I didn't receive an order of mine from NPGMC ,but the Day of the Listening Party I got an E-mail from them telling me they found my order what a lie and it was ready to be sent out. So, I'm not Good enough to be at an event but I can still buy his items. Bullcrap! This was Suppose to make me Happy? I don't think so. NPGMC has been sending me Defective merchandise everytime I order. Now obviously they think I will buy anything and accept second rate merchandise or they just can't have the Curtesy and wanna act Rude instead. All that is happening is They are costing Prince extra shipping fees. I think it's terrible where is their Quality Control? Do they need glasses? What gives already? I think one should be able to Satisfy somebody on the First try. Don't You? Wow, what Morons. Get it right the first time and save Prince shipping fees for goodness sake. Boy is that Too much to ask?
