I've thought about this question too. I mean, do we see ourselves doin' the housequack in retirement homes?

Ya know, when James Brown died, my friend's grandmother and her friend were telling us stories of road trips and stuff they took when they were young- I'm talking back to the 60s to see him perform. She reminded me of myself & my friend Yvonne & our "Prince adventures".
Mrs. H. & her friend had tix to that New Years Eve show he was going to be doing in NYC the week he died! biggrin
They were debating whether to go to that fan processional in the city to view his body...

My point is, a lot of us are going to hang in there like that with Prince. I know I probably will. I almost married someone who tried to take that away from me. We split up for DIFFERENT reasons (let me make that clear- I don't want the Org saying I dumped I guy because of Prince! lol), but I realize I would have missed the music, and the friendships that comes with being a Prince fan! thumbs up!

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

I'm gonna stick with this for as long as I possibly can.

Next month, I will have been in his world for 5 months... FIVE MONTHS... that's close to half a year that I've been worship ing and music ing to his music and learning more about the long journey he's taken.

There's too much out there for me to stop anytime soon.
And he's had a good influence on me, so there's no way I'm quitting.

Prince, you rock! woot!

Prince makes me happy, but he's not my life! lol

When nothings going on in his world, I just put more focus on other stuff, knowing that his music is always there to come back too.

What's wrong nurse??? Do you need a Prince vacation??

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

To stop this Prince thing, Prince would have to stop this Prince thing. I don't see him stopping therefore I guess I'll be doing this thing for awhile. His music has special meaning to me so I want to continue 'feeling him and his thing' as long as possible. I took a break from Prince while my youngest was really too young to listen, but I'm glad she's older and appreciates his tamer stuff. And I'm enjoying sharing his gift with another generation.

My mom did the same thing to me with Smokey Robinson. Last year Smokey was the speaker at Howard's Commencement. I had to call my mom and tell her to watch. His speech was very moving (he didn't sing) and I totally appreciate that she was the person who introduced his timeless music to me.

Can you imagine Prince doing a commencement speech?

If I made it through the whole suing-his fans and Crystal Toast era, I imagine I'll survive anything Prince throws at us. That, IMO was his low point and the point where I disliked him (and his music, actually, since it was Emancipation/NPS/Rave that was released then) the most.
