Current band line up?

Finally going to see Prince live in the UK after many years as a fan but I cant seem to find any details on what band he'll be using for this tour? Sadly, Ive been out of the Prince news loop for a little while and I didnt even know John Blackwell had been replaced lol.

Any info on the band for this tour would be much appreciated.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I think his current line up is:

bass - Josh Dunham
drums - Cora Dunham (Josh's wife)
keys - Renato Nato
keys - Mr. Hayes
horns - Maceo Parker
horns - Greg Boyer

Awww man! Well I guess it will still be awesome to see my hero live but I must say Im dissapointed that theres no Rhonda or Blackwell. As a drummer myself, Cora just dont do it for me. Who knows though, maybe I'll be proven wrong in August. Thanks for the help folks.

Also add Mike Phillips (sax) and possibly Lee Hogan (trumpet) as they were regulars at the Vegas gigs - don't see any reason why they would be dropped at this point. Also the Twinz will be there too, seeing as though they're in the new video.

Cora and Josh may not be Rhonda or Blackwell, but they're still a tight unit. Any band with Prince, Maceo and Renato will blow you away wink

Is Mike Scott also a member on guitar?

Last I saw him playing with Prince was on SNL in 2006. Going by the most recent gigs, he wasn't in the band - but he would be the logical choice if Prince decided to hire a guitarist to free himself up a bit more for these big 'stadium' shows.

Because I believe that women are inferior to men biggrin

No, just kidding. I didn't even think about that when I wrote that.

I thinks its safe to say Candy will join the band for his London concerts.

On the dutch TV show "Showbiz news" a few weeks ago there was an interview with Candy, within was mentioned that she will tour with Prince this summer.

I also think he will bring two keyboardists to London: Morris Hayes for the main / standard synthwork, and Renate Neto for the jazzy solo's and the pianowork.
Renato has shown up with Prince lately very often: during live-perfomances on TV, supporting Prince while he was attending the Emmy awards, and he can also be seen in the Guitar video.

I also hope he will bring another guitarist with him to London. I dont mind if it is Mike Scott, as long as he is bringing one.

I mean: his band comes over more versatile to me, when there is a rhythemguitarist in it. Look at the Parade, Sign and Lovesexy tour, with Miko as extra guitarist, or the concerts with the early NPG, where Levi Seacer was the second guitarist.
