The thing is, even if Prince and his people threatened to sue the people who rand The Data Bank.org, the reality is, they would have no legal leg to stand on. As long as the website wasn't selling bootlegs, or advertising where to buy or get the bootlegs, there is nothing illegal about it. It was just an information source.
The problem, of course is, if Prince and his legal people actually do sue, it obviously would cost a pretty penny to fight it in court and the average person couldn't afford the law suit. Though, I would assume that a counter-suit for harrassment would be possible. I'm sure there must be a lawyer or two in this group who would be able to comment. | |

Sad day this for the Prince community TDB was easily the best bootleg site on the web and was a great way to keep up with what was out there especially with the updates page.
