That would make a looooong list of CD's.

It was announced on his website at the time as a possible future release and that he'd just complete the last track for it. The reason i've listed Crystal Ball 1st was that "2morrow" is supposed 2 have been the 1st son recorded after the release of Emancipation but u might b right. It's difficult 2 determine the recording order of such albums that have been recorded &/or completed around the same time. Same problem with Purple Rain/Ice Cream Castles/Apollonia 6/The Glamorous Life or Come/The Gold Experience/Goldnigga/Chils Of The Sun or Newpower Soul/Come 2 My house/GCS 2000 & some other sessions... If only The new Vault book was released i could buy it & have this kind of info... I don't think 2morrow was recorded after Emancipation was released. As I remember it, it was written about the girl in the Love 4 One Another movie, which aired in early 1996, many months before the album came out. I think it's just another Emancipation-era outtake. But it indeed refers 2 events dating back 2 the Lov4oneanotherexperience era, as said in the CB booklet.

Only Pandemonium was a Paisley Park/Reprise release & i never understood why exept maybe if we refer 2 the Wikipedia article about Reprise which says "Warner Bros. has often treated Reprise as a bit of a secondary parent label, as many of its subsidiary labels, such as Straight and Kinetic, have had their records released in conjunction with Reprise." No i think it was more a Ruffallo/Cavallo/Fargnoli thing 2 manage Paisley since Prince wasn't that much interested in it anyway. I ain't sure it was Good Question which was signed without Prince being asked, it could as well been Three O'Clock or Tony LeMans & i don't think Prince reaaly cared anyway. I've just read it somewhere, most likely in Per Nielsen's DMSR book. When u think of it, Paisley Park realy was a weird label. Lotsa non-Prince/side-project released on it were ok, & even sometimes excellent, but i don't know, i would have expected more from a label owned by Prince than what was released.

Do u also remember this very, very rare album released by Paisley Park just b4 it was closed, in late 1993? I can't even remember the name of the guy but he was a very young drummer who had impressed Prince so much that he signed him. The album was released in a very confidential way (i was a Prince fan in 1993, closely following Prince's work & i only heard of this album years after) & it was printed at such a small scale that it's almost impossible 2 find (it never made it 2 Europe, 4 exemple.) I've dowloaded it on Napster back in the days & it sucked, it was an instrumental mix of poorly inspired jazz & even poorlier inspired metal, all based on the drums playing. I never knew who wrote & produced this album (though i know Prince had nothing 2 do with it) & i can't even remember the drummer's name. Can somebody help? [Edited 6/22/07 10:28am]

[Edited 6/22/07 10:28am] it was jacob armen ..and i never got a hold of it ..but prince somehow thought highly of it since he's featured really quickly on the beautiful xperience film and during a few of the npg ahdio shows man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

It's the musical taste of the album that was a problem. his site's bio says his father was the producer of the album, that must b it. When u come 2 think of it Eric Leeds, Cat Dyson, Sheila E., Eddy M. or Rhonda Smith are extraordinary musicians but their solo albums (the ones without prince, that is) r nice cool funk but definitly lack the originality & whatever makes them going 2 their edge when working with Prince.

well, i've been collecting Prince songs & albums since 1990 so i guess it helps. Lotsa 80's & early 90's stuff could b found in record stores back then & i spend hours looking 4 'em whenever i crossed a record store. Then p2p's came & i finished getting what i couldn't find in record stores, 1st on Napster, then on Audiogalaxy, then on Kazaa & later on Emule & Soulseek. Now i own almost everything officially released on record by Prince including all his compositions 4 other artists. I still have 2 find maybe 20 or so rare remixes of such songs given 2 other artists & that goddamn vinyl version of "Still Waiting" (i think it's "Still Waiting", i'd have 2 verify this) that was edited on the CD version of the album 4 some unundstandable reason. Now i intend 2 get all TV & radio appearences.
