Amazing cd, and the sequence "the marrying kind-if i was the man ur life" is so cool. Apart life of the party and cinammon girl all the songs deserve a 5 stars rating.
I just wonder how someone here dared to say it is a mediocre album.
I hope "planet hearth" will be musicology style.

I've got a feeling that Planet Earth will be unlike the 2 that came b4 it.

But based on his NAACP speech alone, I think it will be about the 2nd coming of jazz & soul music.

But I do agree that Musicology is a great album. It's not exploding with brilliance like TGE or PR, but once you bury yourself in the details, you can learn so much from it. Both about Prince and about what real music is all about. Nothing really hits closer to Prince's personality than Musicology, but that's just me.

After hearing "What do u want me 2 do" I wanted him to do more jazz hits like that... what better way to show off his roots with his parents being jazz musicians and all?

I think he saw what Verizon commercials did for artists like Pink and Christina Aguilera. They proved to be very successful for the artist and company. If it weren't for the Verizon commercials, "U and Ur Hand" would NOT have been a huge hit.

I wouldn't really want it to be anything like 3121, unless he plans on dishing out more good jams like "The Word" when he's really in the world of music.
If anything from Musicology, I'd like more jazz (like "What do u want me 2 do?).

And I'd like him to dish out some funk & soul... cuz I don't think I've heard much of that or not enough of it...

But I'm a newbie... I've got really no right to complain. I feel like I'm an old fan by saying how 3121 pales compared to everything that came b4 it.

I'd like to say this. Once the album does come out, I probably will stay away from this site, haha... cuz I don't want any spoilers. I want to discover it for myself without any biases.
