I'm happy for those of you who are happy about this, but I don't see how their collabs were any greater or lesser than any other Prince music.
Co-sign. I'm afraid that W&L + Prince lovers are setting themselves up for disappointment...all this says is that they appear on the album, not some full out Revolution reunion. I'll laugh if the song they collaborate on is the worst one on the album. ![]() All I have to say about this is that W&L have evolved as musicians. Their collaborations with other artists usually go very well. If the song ends up mussed it's because PRINCE has a hard time collaborating and not overpowering the other artist. If this was a full album with a lot of their input, I might be a bit more excited/worried. I think it's on a song or 2, which should be fine. Christian Zombie Vampires

Rumor is, it's only Wendy on the new album. NOT Wendy and Lisa. I'm only sayin'....

It's on the import of Angels with Dirty Faces. ELeven turned me onto those tracks. You can't even hear them...that and the tracks aren't all that. I sort of felt that way with the Mitchell Froom album too. Now on Neil Finns album and songs like Bring it On By Seal, you can really hear their voices and the music they are playing. Ok, my ass has been burned more times by Prince than I count, but damned if this news doesn't get me geeking all out again. All I know is, the last time, he played with (and arguably wrote about) Wendy was "Reflection" and it was one of the best thing he'd done in ages.

However, can Columbia get him radio airplay in the U.S. (which was the case with the Musicology singles)?[/quote:dc1abb4b61]musicology garnered alot more airplay with call my name which did pretty good on the adult urban charts i think it reached like #1 on that chart! it got the same audience as madonna got with hung up which doesnt say alot but its better then nothing Definitely. People forget how big Call My Name was in 2004. Regular R&B listeners know however. Yeah, it was #1 for 4 weeks on Urban AC radio. I believe that it was #4 for all of 2004. In fact, it even ended up being in the top 20 most played for 2005. Even Musicology was in the Top 10 on Urban AC for a week or two. Also, On The Couch and What Do U Want Me 2 Do were played every day on XM radio. Anything close to this for Planet Earth would definitely work for me.
