Why doesnt prince do splits anymore?

I'm guessing cuz he had his hip replaced and is incapable of doing so...

Hip replacement I never heard of him having that done

he's too old. he could get hurt or accidently pee.

I haven't heard Prince do the Owwah in a while. That's another Prince trademark that he doesn't do that often anymore. What do you think the reason is for that?

someone mentioned it on the 'alma' thread, claiming they saw the scar for it... and thats when i remembered hearing something about it.

I figure that we're not gonna find out exactly when it was done cuz he does keep his private life pretty private

last time I saw him do them was the 2000 'Rave' concert

He may very well have some trouble with his hips or whatever though from all those years of jumping off pianos in high heels- which may have caused him to scale down his dancing. Also, he's been playing a lot more guitar past couple years- the splits were a trademark during the time periods where he had at least one other lead guitar player and was dancing a lot more overall.

I always loved Prince's splits and always wondered how he managed to just rise right up. I got the splitting down, but never managed to do it like him.
