Prince ad in a 1978 trade magazine I work at a radio station and one of the gentlemen I work with has been in radio since the 70's. He recently brought in a trade magazine from 1978. While leafing through I was pleasantly suprised to find an ad for "Soft and wet". I asked if I could have it and he said sure.
Here is the cover of the magazine: Here is the ad: Just for comparison, some of the other big songs in this issue were "Whenever I call you friend" by Kenny Loggins, "Reminising" by Little River Band and other song ads included "Paradise by the dashboard lights" by Meatloaf and "One nation under a groove" by Funkadelic. (I posted this at HQ too) [Edited 6/7/07 5:52am] Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

WTIX is a radio station in New Orleans. I believe it's still on the air, but it's all talk now. They played Pop/R&B in 1978.
