maybe this is like one of those slash/fan fiction community things where people make up stuff about how captain kirk and mr. spock were really lovers and how each episode of star trek had secret 'brokeback planet' scenes and then everyone reacts to these fan fantasies as if they were real, and that doesn't harm anyone since it's just fantasy anyway, and it's not going to hurt anything whether it registers or not in the world of reality. outside the little fan fantasy bubble, it may look a little absurd...but who invited the outside world into the fantasy bubble in the first place? who needs em? we treat our fantasies as if they were real, because believing our fantasies make them feel more real. NOW I GET IT! so i'm sorry, guys. you're both right and i now totally believe you are both co-existing on the same spiritual and artistic wavelength as prince rogers nelson. please keep us updated when the neopsychedelic glitterphone rings or when the purple pegasus unicorns fly over your homes, farting forth proudly with lavender scented rainbows of TRUTH. Dance Electric. Dance Electric. Dance Electric. YES. Lovesexy! This is going 2 b a SINE oh the TIMESES (due the MATH). i understand now cosine cotangent We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You know what's missing from this thread? A response from that guy whose signature is something like, "Fuck tha Funk! It's time for Prince to ditch the Vegas fills and worn out horns and rock out! He hinted at this on Chaos and Disorder - now it's time to deliver!"
Personally, I think a dude with a signature line that long is going to have a total orgasm if Graycap is right about the rock aspect of this album.

I'm trying to decide whether this is the BEST or the WORST thread I've read in ages (I keep coming back, so i guess...)
But I'd chuck it all in and subscribe to his Prince-medium services if Graycap would STOP with the f-ing CAPS!!!!! (probably too much to ask...) [Edited 6/9/07 13:08pm] "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

I’ll share a little about what I know on this new cd. I while ago the question was asked in subtle ways as 2 what type of cd people would want from Prince. The general consensus seemed 2 be a ROCK/GUITAR flavored style. If that consensus was correct then u lovers of the ROCK should be pleased. I CANNOT give away 2 much but l will say that the guitars will be hot and heavy 2 say the least. U will also see some old band members make an appearance here and there on the cd. When it’s all said and done, at least from my perspective, the R3volution has come full circle. There is more 2 come……….. U will be pleased. Coming back full circle... Makes sense to come out with a rock album (hopefully fresh sound) as there's been a void in rock for the past few years imho..and the whole genre's been begging for reinvention. 3 Revolution members who make an appearance, I'd guess: Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Dez Dickerson.

Just to change gears a bit, I was wondering what happened to the highly
rumoured Beatles project. I know we have insiders on this thread; any connection to this album or totally different project altogether? Or has that project fallen through? I wasn't too crazy about the idea in the first place. Would appreciate any insights. I've got a guitar that can part the sea.
