I called him Prince and my reason was "That's what his mama calls him"...besides I don't know of anyone who's name fit them better...He's definitely a Prince. If I had run into him by chance, like say in an airport I probably would have yelled out Hey Prince just to get his attention then blew him a kiss and a smile. | |

Lol, same here. Before I really got into his music, I knew that people called him some "formerly known as" name and I couldn't figure out why. Heh, now I know.
It's barely been what? 4 months since I've been here... I knew there was "some guy" called "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince"... But to answer the question - No, because he changed back before I could, ha! I wouldn't have called him The Artist or whatever, just Prince because that's who he is.  | |

I've always called him Prince! 
I must admit that the whole name-change had made me a bit upset (though I liked the symbol) cuz everybody around me just have their stupid questions about it... | |

Whatever his preference was, I was completely suckered in and devoted to him. I was so young and impressionable, and Prince left quite an impression.
