Dont dumb yourself down for the benifit of some net fools.....You and I both know that a real adult/man wouldn't publicly bitch about another mans post * we all have the freedom to say whatever we want in an open forum such as this unless they were trying to shine some light on themselves.. Whats wrong with an orgnote If you have such a problem with another mans opinion...? Dont waste your time playing around in "ELECTRIC NEWBIELAND" RIGHT ON ! [Edited 6/1/07 2:54am]

Very raw&rocked out, P seems 2 be in a really dark&gritty place during the recording of this. I'm liking Planet Earth already... Raw and rocked out? Yeah, ok. If you say so! Reminiscent of Gold/Chaos/Come era, eh? No wonder I ain't feeling it! I didn't feel those contractual obligations either, at least I could understand their haphazardness. For this, there's no excuse! NEXT!!! well, at least you're listening with an open mind.

I can hear the "Fury" comparisons. I loved the SNL version of "Fury" completely, but I felt the album version was watered down. I still liked the tune, but there was something about the effect of Prince's vocals on the studio version that bug me. And that effect carries over into "Guitar"- kinda whiney, bratty sounding vocals in the verses. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

F___ it... I give up. U clearly don't know me, and since U just joined the ORG in MAY 2007, you're a newjack. Think what U want, and assume what U want. Stay cynical and hopeless, youngblood... U R better off that way. U essentially have no reason 2 trust me anyway, so va fanculo in the meantime...[/quote]
hey everyone..this giovanni guy obviously has some very delicate connection into the prince camp. He sure is protecting it as if he's afraid of losing it:) Anyhow, we all know what's going to happen - he'll release an album that will havce some great tracks but will miss overall. He'll put out a song called 'guitar' with the absencse of a great guitar line/solo/playing. Oh...he did that! I feel another 'fury' coming on.

So we get "Grandpa Smooth" instead of "Exciting uncle Prince" (which was what the 90's Prince was sposdta be) ...make sense? {of course this is all coming from someone in his early 20's- i'm sure those around his age could read him better}

after listening to the version that's on YouTube, I have to say, this is pretty excellent. the only thing that bugs me is that the scream at the beginning feels tacked on. there needs to be a little more space between it and when he starts singing. do love the scream, though. Haystack said: booyah said: Raze, I'm not taking sides here, but if you've been around the org for any time, you'll know that Giovanni knows what he's talking about and does indeed have inside information. You're right that many people claim to have info when they don't, but G is the real deal.
Genuine question. Do you have any good examples of evidence where Giovanni has proved that he's 'in the know'? Usually, on any subject on any forum, those who DO know either keep quiet or give out straight facts and it's only those who know nothing who give out cryptic messages and will also offer convenient disclaimers that things may change. Even if he does know what's going down, Giovanni's 'I know something you don't know' attitude is still incredibly unwelcome and deserve the negative reaction that he often gets. Nobody likes a smart ass. I dont mind a smart arse if they can back up what they say. Sadly Giovanni can not, or at leaset refuses to. Thus puts himself up for ridicule. I welcome a blag. Whats with the goofy bass line?
And the lyrics???? "Get dirty at the club again. (I'm) usually 'round your waist like a chain but then I got the call. So I jumped in my car. I love you baby but not like I love my guitar." Where is the wit? Where is the word play? Where is the poetry? This one is almost as bad as "I Like It There"
