I love that song and the video is great. I love Prince playing the old man in the raggedy coat. I always laugh at that. And when he says I got the butter for your muffin. Oh,he's just so cute you wanna eat him up. What a doll.

that song has a cool groove. a cool track.

It has all the trademarks of a Camille song, a little numbed down though. Difficult to explain how but you can hear it in the voice.

The 1st celebration they played it out a couple nites, and since I was stuck in the soundstage mainly sitting on the floor watching the performers in the musicclub room being played on the wall, dancing to Come On was as good as it got...perfect single too, ps...I dig every mix...

and Come On acapella...mmm one listen to that in an ummm "ecstatic" mood and life will never be the same again..

Just a quick FYI...


Originally, Prince recorded horn tracks on this song. The horn players: none other than the horns from the band I play keyboards for in NYC, Days of Wild. Prince later discarded their horn tracks on 'Come On', but kept the tracks they cut on 'When U Love Somebody'. Still love Prince for showing love to our band, DOW.

I've always felt that the adlibbed vocal part towards the end would have made a far better chorus than the actual chorus on the song itself. The chorus is the weakest part of the otherwise very potential track. In my opinion of course.

Come on is definitely my favorite song on NPS. It's the reason why I bought the CD.

One of my favorites. Typical song that I can only see Prince creating.
