Inspired by the ? on the "young fan" thread, let's list some Prince songs that some people don't seem to understand. And maybe we can help them out and explain things to them.

Computer Blue has got 2b the one song a lot of relatively new fans ask about the most becuz the album version was shredded so much that it's barely decipherable (is that a word?).

What other Prince songs do a lot of people claim they don't understand?

Sometimes I wonder if I could actually make it all the way through The War if I'd know what he was talking about.

As far as Prince goes, I understand him about 99% of the time.

I think its just Prince saying how he would get back at a journalist who had written some rude things about him (and called him "silly names"). Actually, it was more or less his revenge against her.

The "17" part is a little ambiguous, but it works as a random number applied to a loose woman, and he has always had a fascination with 7, multiples of 7, and numbers that end in 7. Plus, it makes the rhyme work. The rest of it fits; train was/is slang for a woman who has multiple sexual partners (like WYWM's line "Just like a train/U let all my friends come over and eat"), and trolley is just another way of saying that.

Who was the man (and his girlfriend) who died of the disease in France at the start of Sign O Times?

One of my favorite Prince songs would be Pink cashmere but I have no clue to what it is supposed to symbolise or what the hell it is about I just breath in and bellow out noises to it

Fury - listened to it last night and realised I have no idea at all what it could be about.
