Do you recall recently when I spoke of the coincidence that she split the team into two teams, one called Diamond and the other Pearl?

Well, they had their spring show this past weekend, and 4 out of 13 songs were Prince songs. No coincidence here!

Needless to say, made the show that much better IMO.

I think my daughter's dance school owner is a Prince fan, too. They use a decent amount of Prince in their annual recitals.

One year, they opened the show with "The Rest of My Life". This year, my daughter's dancing to "Raspberry Beret".

I don't live too far from Deer Park. I played a lot of basketball in Phillips Field House back in the day...

I replied to the other thread, but the Org timed me out and I didn't have the patience to retype it that day...

At the high school where I teach, there is a dance troupe called "Diamonds and Pearls". I 1st heard it on our "morning news", so I went to the advisor and asked how they picked the name. He said he didn't know, so I asked a few of the kids. They said they "just came up with it". I told them it was the name of a Prince song/album, and they just stared at me.

(I think just about everyone in the school knows about my "Prince thing". )
