Hahahaha! U really think so??? It takes all sorts, I guess. Non stop in MY Discman, anyway (look out for someone strutting around Cardiff).

I want 2 know the reasons why u guys who dont like the album, do not like it. It seems as if the only ones who like it would be the fans of moe 80's stuff...and yes I think his 80's stuff is a little more weird and ventrous, but The Rainbow Children is really out of this world and there is not one album out there like it. Especially at this time. Its a rebirth of the Muzik. Especially since Emancipation (balladiocious madness)

it's just half-assed 2 me. never mind slowed-down voices and all that, i just don't care 4 the album.

'Muse 2 The Pharaoh' is just simply one of THE best songs he's composed. I NEVER tire of it.

And the first time I heard 'The Sensual Everafter', I could've cried my eyes out.

I only wish he was as 'half-assed' as this more often.

Everyone should give this cd another chance. I was not at all thrilled with it for many months. After making myself listen to it many times, I began to appreciate it for what it is. I still do not like the religious lyrics and the deep voice gets to me sometimes, but the music is amazing and shows his true talent, not to mention how beautiful his voice is. When this cd first came out, I would've agreed with many of you that it was not even close to his best work, but now I have to disagree. I love this cd and listen to it at least once/twice a week. It is a masterpiece.

You expect very little from Prince if this is the kind of album you want him to do. Religious jazz with half assed and at times, "borrowed" melodies. Puts me into sleep mode.

Sensual Everafter isn't a segue,i dont see it that way newayz,i just see it as a 3minute MASTERPICE which,extended by even a couple of minutes,would give me cardiac arrest.will always be in love with that song,& is one of the only trax on TRC thati regularly listen 2,not 2 say i dont like the album,but SE is my fave by far,& always a must on any slo jam cd i make,be it Prince or mixed artists.imagine this song on repeat making love 2 that beautiful lady,damn !

I really do think this is one of the best albums released over the last few years, when I first listened to it, i really did not like it, but this album is one hell of a grower!

1+1+1=3 is superb!!!

Hopefully the next album will be as good!

I'm a huge Prince fan, and I only like about 2 songs on this album. I liked to know what's so great about it?
The Darth Vadar voice at the beginning of every song?

The offensive remarks on some of the songs?
Or is it the blah song She Loves Me for Me?

TRC draws out his many sides (just as all his albums so whats wrong with that???!)... ive gotten use 2 getting tangled in it, which is something i recommend 2 the ones that just dont quite get it yet ... Muse to the Pharoah was my least favourite track and so excluded it from my tape 4 the car... but now I think it is 1 of the best.and is played daily!

So happy to see that the majority of us LOVE TRC.
It has that grown up flavor. It really shows
another demension of Prince. All the contributing
musicians are to be congratulated!!!

I listened to Rainbow Children and The Vault last night.

Listened to Dirty Mind driving in to work today.

Bottome line - the guy is allowed to grow musically, right? As much as I love the jazzed-up, intricate musical compositions it is good to put on a little Sister and Head once in a while. Don't get me wrong - I love TRC. He's breaking free of "songs"...As much as I love Dirty Mind, I don't want a Dirty Mind II. It's been done already..no need.

I for one want him to keep moving forward musically...his progression is facinating in itself.

It's easy to warn him of the difference between quantity and quality but art is very subjective so how can I do so as much as I desire??? I can't!

what are the songs on that like mostly ? fast or slow ? are they funky ? coz thats the kinda Prince i like and i was wondering wheather to get that cd or not its like 30eur here ... plus is it very religous ? i don't like being preached too ...

Its a classic.

The first couple listens, I just enjoyed the funk.
After the live experience, I can't get enough of the entire disc.
It's high on my favorite list.
