Hey all, I just finished downloading and watching his 1983 benefit concert at 1st Avenue for the Dance Theatre Company. All I can say is OH MY GOD!!!!! This is so fantastically fabulous and I can't believe it's taken me nearly 25 years to see it. This is the old raw Prince that I LOVE so much, without all the polish and glitz you get now. He plays bum notes in it, he forgets the words in it, it's badly filmed and the sound isn't great but there is so much energy and emotion I dont think I've seen any other show of his that comes close. If you've never seen it GET IT!

Well I'll bump this because I felt pretty emotional after finally seeing this last year after hearing about it for 20 years or whatever. Mainly because I was watching the (basic) tracks of some songs that soundtracked my youth being 'recorded'.

This was the first time I watched a live Prince DVD!

I was blown away the first time I seen it as well. I think it's one of his best live performaces. It's come to be my favorite concert. Plus the passion sung in Electric Intercourse really did the trick.
